quick secret is based on words from my dreams, poems, stories, active imagination and conversation. The intention of quick secret is in demonstrating the reverberations, or resonance, words from the subconscious recesses and past have on the waking, present, and conscious life. quick secret attempts to reflect the metamorphoses or shapeshifting that occurs when text is cut-up and merged with visual imagery.
bestiarist incorporates cut-up text from my poetry and stories crudely sewn upon illustrations by Jules. Conceptual, bestiarist is inspired by the compilers or writers of bestiaries: most often medieval treatise illustrating symbolic, allegorical, or moralizing text based upon real or fabled animals. I do not speak French and Jules does not speak English. The effect of bestiarist is not solid, but maybe flowing; cut-up in its communication and translation between artists.
pig alley! is a collection of words, which become titles for images, after I look them up in a Bible Concordance. Scripture is taken from the King James Bible and its various books, showcasing these chosen words. pig alley! is a series of propaganda poster children illustrating scripture taken from its home.
